According to the report, the prices of various VR titles for the PS4 have also seen a decline in the last few weeks. The PSVR is expensive, but retails for half the price of competing VR headsets like the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive. As we noted in our first impressions, the PSVR is a great companion to the PS4, but is more suited to the more powerful PS4 Pro than the regular PS4 or PS4 Slim. The PSVR was released on 13 October and features a 5.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1920x1080. Since the PSVR uses an RGB pixel layout, the images it produces are denser than those produced on the higher resolution Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets. The device weighs around 610 g.The headset will only work with a tracking camera, and the price includes that camera. The regular PS4 Dual Shock 4 controller and PSMove controllers are also compatible with VR. An included processing unit is required to enable a full-fledged PSVR experience.
