Rocket League's upcoming Rumble mode adds a bunch of insane power ups that players can use for additional tactical play.
Rocket League has announced a new mode. The Rumble mode adds a bunch of insane power ups that players can use for additional tactical play. There are 11 new power ups, which significantly change the gameplay style in game which is a combination of racing and football. The Boot is a boot at the end of a spring that can be used to kick other cars or the ball. The Disruptor makes a targeted opponent drive erratically. There is the Freezer which stops the ball wherever it is, even in mid air. There are grappling hooks, which shoots out a spearhead with a string, and then players can reel themselves into the ball. More than one grappling hook can be used on the ball at the same time. The Magnetizer attracts the ball to the car, and makes the ball sticky. The Plunger can be used to vacuum seal the ball to the car. There is a Power Hitter, which makes players hit cars or balls harder. The Spike grows spikes all around the car, and locks into the ball whenever contact is made. The swapper lets you switch positions with an opponent. The Tornado is perhaps the coolest addition, it generates a tornado that sweeps up cars and balls into its vortex. The Rumble update is free, and will go live at the end of the Rocket League Championships Live Finals in September.
