Nintendo's Super Mario Run was first launched on iOS back in December 2016 and later brought to Android in March 2017 but failed to deliver regular updates. So far, there have been updates for bug fixes, and there were regular events, but no major content update yet. The company finally seem to have woken up and is gearing up for a major update to breathe new life into the game.[caption id="attachment_4075701" align="alignleft" width="380"]Super Mario Run. The company has also promised to cut the game's price in half between 29 September and 12 October, to revive interest in the company's signature gaming brand. The update adds Daisy as a new runner as well as a new world named 'World Star'. There are also a number of new gameplay elements thrown in. The report also states that a new mode added called 'Remix 10' is also being brought to the game. The new mode adds a fresh experience by randomising parts of 10 levels. Both iOS and Android will be getting the update.Nintendo will now allow users to listen to their own music tracks while playing. This also comes with a new animation in the form of headphones being worn by the character to reflect that users are not listening to the usual Super Mario themes.

The publication reports that despite Super Mario Run making a good start when it was launched, Nintendo expected better revenue earnings from the full version of the game. Nintendo however, now seem to be taking steps towards being a more conventional mobile game publisher, with the release of updates to its title.
