At long last, Mass Effect: Andromeda is finally out on PC and console. The much awaited successor to the original Mass Effect trilogy is here.Set in the distant future and well past the time of Shepard and his/her compatriots, the game leaves the cosy confines of our galaxy and takes you, the player, on humanity's first inter-galactic journey, on a trip to Andromeda.Your goal is to find a new home for humanity in a galaxy where you are the alien. As with the original trilogy, Mass Effect: Andromeda remains an RPG at heart, but brings the expected assortment of new weapons, features and refinements along with it.As exciting as all this sounds, this wouldn’t be an EA game if it didn’t come with in a variety of exorbitant pricing options and a bunch of entirely cosmetic, but ultimately useless upgrades, and of course, micro-transactions.The good news is that the game is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The bad news is that unlike most games on Steam, the India prices for the game are in line with global pricing.You’ll get a Standard Edition of the game for Rs 3,499, a Deluxe Edition for Rs 3,999 and a Super Deluxe Edition for Rs 5,499. You can also purchase Andromeda Points packs in quantities valued from Rs 349 to Rs Rs 5,990. This is after paying full price for the game.The Deluxe Edition throws in an outfit, an armour kit, a weapon set, a pet monkey (For what joy?), the digital soundtrack and a multiplayer starter kit with some weapons and equipment. The Rs 5,499 Super Deluxe Edition will get you all of the above as well as a “Super Deluxe Boost pack” which includes a 20-week premium pack to boost your progress.Yes, you read that right. EA expects us to pay to earn XP faster. If you’re a Battlefield veteran, this won’t really come as a surprise to you.Unless you’re a die-hard fan of Mass Effect and just can’t wait to play the game right this minute, we suggest you wait a couple of months for the prices to fall to a more palatable level (and for the bugs to be ironed out).You can also drop Rs 315 / month for Origin Access, which will grant you access to the full game for 10 hours as well as a 10 percent discount if you purchase the game.If you’re on PC, the game’s system requirements are as follows:Minimum System Requirements
