This year's E3 gaming expo is about to kick-off and we have an early announcement from Microsoft. The company has just dropped the price for its latest gaming console, the Xbox One S, which is now $50 (Rs 3,400 approx) less than the original price. There is no confirmation if the price drop is permanent or will be for a limited time period.https://twitter.com/Xbox/status/873585561000431617The Xbox One S is yet to arrive in India and if the newly announced price drop is permanent, it could impact the pricing across various retailers.Microsoft's biggest announcement however, is definitely going to be the price and availability of the new Xbox Scorpio. From what we last heard, when it releases, the Xbox Scorpio will be the most powerful console on the market. Featuring an 8-core processor, 12 GB of GDDR5 memory and a 1 TB HDD, the console will put many an entry-level PC to shame and outclass the PS4 Pro by around 30 percent. It will also be the first, truly 4K-capable gaming console.According to analyst Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities, the Xbox Scorpio could be priced at $399 (Rs. 26,000) which sounds way more affordable than what we are expecting. He says that Microsoft will have to price for the Xbox Scorpio lower than what the Xbox One cost at launch, if the company wants to stay relevant this year.
