AMD announces Radeon RX Vega series along with 'Radeon Packs'; to take the fight to Nvidia

AMD has announced the release of Radeon RX Vega, the latest GPU series by the chip maker in a long time. The company announced the launch of this new lineup in Lost Angeles and this new lineup will go head-to-head with the latest and greatest from its rival, Nvidia. One thing to note here is that this line-up comes almost two years after the last flagship, Fury X from AMD.[caption id="attachment_3879101" align="alignleft" width="380"]

AMD is planning to hit the combination of Intel Core and Nvidia GTX series with its own AMD Ryzen and Vega combination.The company has announced three cards as part of the Vega lineup along with the prices of the cards. According to a report by The Verge, the three cards will be Radeon RX Vega 56, Radeon RX Vega 64 air-cooled and Radeon RX Vega 64 liquid-cooled. RX Vega 54 is priced at $ 399 with the air-cooled RX Vega priced at $499.[caption id="attachment_3879105" align="alignnone" width="825"]
Image Credit: AMD[/caption]AMD has also announced ‘Radeon Packs’ which will include discounts for hardware that can match the GPU in addition to the bundled games. The company has launched three packs, The Radeon Red Pack, Radeon Black Pack and Radeon Aqua Pack. The report points out that all the three packs will come with Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Prey.The packs will also come with $200 discount on the purchase of a 34-inch Samsung curved ultrawide FreeSync monitor. AMD has also added $100 discount if the Radeon Pack buyers decide to buy Ryzen 7 1800X processor along with AMD 370X motherboard. Red Pack will come with air-cooled Radeon RX Vega 56 for $499, Black Pack will come with air-cooled Radeon RX Vega 64 for $599. The Aqua pack will come with liquid-cooled Radeon RX Vega 64 for $699.[caption id="attachment_3879107" align="alignnone" width="825"]
