From November, you can watch YouTube videos offline for a short period

YouTube is planning to release a new feature on its mobile apps in November which will allow videos to be downloaded by users for a "short period."[caption id="attachment_1120905" align="alignleft" width="380"] Youtube logo. AFP image[/caption]The new service will allow users to save videos on their devices and watch them without an internet connection, but it remains unclear how long the downloaded video will stay available, or whether producers of YouTube videos will be able to opt out.The announcement was made on the YouTube blog, Creators blog. The company has said that they will release more details about the feature closer to its launch.In the announcement, YouTube said: "We're always exploring ways to bring more viewers to your content." They also explained to video producers how the feature will potentially benefit their content. "Your fans' ability to enjoy your videos no longer has to be interrupted by something as commonplace as a morning commute," said the statement.They added: "This is part of our ongoing updates to give people more opportunities to enjoy videos and channels on YouTube mobile."
