Android KitKat video accidentally reveals Google's Nexus 5 phone

Yesterday Google announced surprised the tech world by announcing that the next version of Android would be called KitKat and not KeyLime pie as many had expected. But in between all that KitKat madness, Google ended up giving the world a glimpse of the new Nexus 5 smartphone. Oops!The Verge reported that a promotional video of the KitKat announcement showed a Google employee taking pictures of the KitKate statute being put on Google's lawns with what looks like a new Nexus device. The smartphone seems to sport a matte finish on the rear, a super-large-camera lens and an LG logo at the rear, points out the report.[caption id="attachment_1084545" align="alignleft" width="380"]

But this is the Internet after all and someone has  managed to get a copy and put the video on YouTube again. You can watch it here.Previously AndroidandMe, had leaked images of the alleged LG Nexus 5, via an anonymous tipster who claimed to be a Google employee.The report stated that the device was codenamed “Megalodon” and could be out in October this year and that it would have a 5.2-inch OLED Display with 1920×1080 resolution. Other features that were hinted at included a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, clocked at 2.3 GHz, 3GB RAM, a 16MP rear camera by OmniVision and 2.1MP front camera. Like the HTC One it could have front positioned stereo speakers and of course will have LTE support.We're hoping that the Google employee holding the Nexus 5 doesn't get into too much trouble at the office.
