MP train derailments: Suresh Prabhu tells Rajya Sabha he's visiting the accident site

Making a suo motu statement on the incident despite slogan shouting by Congress MPs over the suspension of their colleagues in the Lok Sabha, Prabhu said the Railways is making all possible efforts to rescue the affected passengers.

At least 38 people were killed and about 150 others injured on Friday when the engine and two adjoining coaches of the Dehradun-Varanasi Janata Express train derailed near Bachrawan Railway Station in Rae Bareli.
