Former Malaysian defender and football pundit Shebby Singh has been appointed Blackburn’s director of football, UK’s Daily Mail reported Tuesday. It said one of Shebby’s tasks will be to act as a go-between for the club’s Indian owners Venky’s and Steve Kean, although the manager’s future is uncertain after the club’s relegation from the Barclays Premier League.[caption id="attachment_349521" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Blackburn have more chicken on their plate now. [/caption]Shebby has earned a reputation for his forthright views on the Premier League on television. And of course, he has his task cut out with Blackburn being relegated this season and on course to lose it's best players as a result.Other than that, Blackburn fans haven't taken very kindly to Venky's management style and it remains to be seen whether the one-time Premier League champions will be able to fight their way back into the Premiership.
