Police to file charge sheet against Pomersbach next week

New Delhi: The Delhi police has said they could file the charge sheet against Australian cricketer Luke Pomersbach, accused of molestation and physical assault, by next week in connection but may question him again before it is filed.Police officials said they might question Pomersbach again after taking the statements of other people who were present at the after match party in Delhi's Maurya Sheraton hotel.[caption id="attachment_317478" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Pomersbach is presently out on bail. Reuters"][/caption]So far the police has questioned 20 people in the case including Sahil Peerzada's friend, identified only as  Moiz, who was present in the hotel room at the time of the incident.Peerzada, the fiance of the women who has alleged being molested by the Australian cricketer, was discharged from a city hospital yesterday. He was reportedly assaulted by Pomersbach when he objected to the cricketer's behaviour.Another friend of Peerzada, identified as Miraj, is to be questioned by the police today."We will interrogate more people till we reach a logical conclusion," said C K Dwivedi, ACP, New Delhi range.The police also refused to confirm reports that some people had approached the woman, Zohal Hamid, to withdraw her compaint against Pomersbach.Pomersbach is presently out on bail but cannot leave the country as his passport is still with a Delhi court.  The police has also reportedly questioned his team mate KP Appanna in connection with the case after security camera footage revealed that he had accompanied Pomersbach to the woman's room after the incident.
