Assaubayeva shares two-word heartwarming post for rumoured boyfriend Sindarov after his FIDE Candidates win
Javokhir Sindarov sealed the open section of FIDE Candidates 2026 with a dominating performance while Bibisara Assaubayeva is at the top in the women's section alongside India's R Vaishali.

Kazakh Grandmaster Bibisara Assaubayeva gave further boost to dating speculations with Javokhir Sindarov after the Uzbek star clinched victory in the open section of the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026 on Tuesday in Pegeia, Cyprus.
Sindarov settled for a draw with Anish Giri in the penultimate round to take an unassailable lead at the top of the standings in the open section. Assaubayeva too is leading the women's section where she is tied for the first place alongside India's R Vaishali ahead of the final round.
Assaubayeva's heartwarming post
Following Sindarov's confirmed victory, Assaubayeva shared a post on her Telegram channel. The post consisted of a photo of the pair accompanied by the two-word caption "My champion" along with a heart emoji.
There have been rumours of Assaubayeva dating Sindarov and the latest post appeared to confirm that. Neither player has publicly confirmed anything about these speculations but have supported each other in tournaments.
After Sindarov sealed the world title clash against the reigning champion D Gukesh, Assaubayeva said that she was proud of the Uzbek Grandmaster.
"I am very happy for him and very proud because I know him for last five years and we grew up looking at each other's achievements and he is one of the kindest person in the world I think," Assaubayeva told FIDE after her win against Anna Muzychuk that took her to the top of the standings alongside Vaishali.
"I am happy that he won. He absolutely deserves it," the Kazakh star said.
Sindarov too did not keep it secret that he is supporting Assaubayeva in the women's section and will try to help her ahead of the final round.
"I will try to how to support Sara. She has also very good chance," the Candidates 2026 winner said after his Round 13 draw against Anish Giri.
With score of 9.5/13, Sindarov is having one of the most dominating performances in Candidates in recent memory with a two-point lead over the second-placed Giri. Things are tighter for Assaubayeva who is at 7.5/13 alongside Vaishali with China's Zhu Jiner trailing the duo by just half a point.
