Mulayam Singh Yadav supporters plan reply to counter UP CM Akhilesh's letter on poll campaign

As the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election comes closer, the cracks in Samajwadi Party seems to be getting wider. Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, as reported on Firstpost, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav announced his poll plans for the upcoming election in a letter addressed to the party members and chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. But it seems that senior Yadav is not happy with the steps Akhilesh has taken and is reportedly planning a hard-hitting reply to his son, CNN-News18 reported on Wednesday.[caption id="attachment_3006062" align="alignleft" width="380"] Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav, with CM Akhilesh Yadav. PTI[/caption]Akhilesh pointed announced his plans to begin the poll campaign with Samajwadi Vikas Rath Yatra, starting from 3 November. Interestingly, Mulayam Singh Yadav was about to announce the official poll campaign at the party's 25th anniversary on 21 October, and this letter seems to have taken the thunder away from the poll campaign.Quoting party sources, CNN-News18 said that the Mulayam camp is worried about the letter, and is preparing a reply. The TV news channel also said that according to party sources, the feud in the party has reached a point of no return, and senior Yadav will decide on Akhilesh's fate in the party.Commenting on Akhilesh Yadav' letter, Samajwadi Party's Gaurav Bhatia told CNN-News18 that while Akhilesh Yadav has been instrumental in the party's rise, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav cannot be discounted.

The family feud in the Samajwadi Party started way back in September, when Shivapal Yadav expelled some of Akhilesh's close asssociates. And over the time, the party has reversed several of the decisions taken by Akhilesh including his decision to not merge Qaumi Ekta Dal into Samajwadi Party.
