Kejriwal, AAP no threat for Narendra Modi: Rajnath Singh

As congratulations and best wishes poured in for Delhi's newest chief minister, political reactions began to trickle in.Bharatiya JAnata Party president Rajnath Singh, asked if he considers the massive turnout at Ramlila Maidan a threat for the Modi bandwagon, said he looks at the developments positively.[caption id="attachment_131136" align="alignleft" width="380"] Rajnath Singh[/caption]"Modi has the maximum trust and faith of the people of the country. I don't consider anybody a threat to him or the BJP. I look at it positively." On corruption and on the new chief minister's exhortations to the people of Delhi to never seek or give a bribe, Singh said, "if the Congress had ever been serious, their 50-year-rule would not have seen corruption reach the current levels. Congress alone is responsible for the levels of corruption." He also said the Congress party's recent turnaround on Adarsh was a sign of their hypocrisy.The BJP's Sushma Swaraj extended her best wishes too. "Congratulations to Arvind Kejriwal on taking over as chief minister of Delhi," she tweeted.Dr Harsh Vardhan, the BJP's chief ministerial candidate, said he hopes Kejriwal will fulfill the promises made to the people of Delhi. Speaking to CNN-IBN, Harsh Vardhan said. "He has made promises on water, power and others. I extend my best wishes for him to fulfill these," he said.Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed denied that the Congress would sooner or later withdraw support to the AAP government in Delhi."The responsibility of running the government lies with the party in power. We have given support based on their promises on water, power, rights for the slum colonies, etc. If they keep their promises then the Cong support will stay," said Ahmed.Anti-corruption crusader and former colleague in the India Against Corruption movement Anna Hazare congratulated his protege too."We worked together for very long. I have belief in Arvind Kejriwal and believe he will do a good job as Delhi chief minister," Hazare said in Ralegan Siddhi village in Maharashtra. He had been invited for the ceremony but had declined citing poor health.AAP's chief ideologue Yogendra Yadav tweeted too:
