In Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi continues his attacks on Narendra Modi over note ban, says nothing new

Continuing his attack against the demonetisation drive, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Monday once again targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for attacking the poor with his note ban policy. Rahul was speaking in Rajasthan's Baran where he also took a jibe at state chief minister Vasundhara Raje.The Gandhi scion alleged that the BJP government under Raje is running a "suit-boot sarkar", adding that just like her bosses in New Delhi, the Rajasthan government also work only for the rich.He charged the state and the Centre of selling 650 mines in a single day to industrialists; also privatising roadways, transportation industry along with increasing the electricity fare by 18 percent.Rahul also claimed that tourism industry is down by 50 percent in Rajasthan, while the world famous artisans along with jewellers have been destroyed due to the note ban.Taking a jibe at prime minister Modi, the Congress leader said: "You (Modi) have divided India into two parts — on one side is one per cent rich and, on the other, there are middle-class, poor people."Meanwhile, reiterating his support for the poor, the Ameti MP targeted the Modi government of destroying the poor with his policies while working for the rich. He said that Modi's crusade against black money was for the rich while the poor are being sacrificed. "The note ban is a step taken against the poor, farmers and the middle-class people," he said at the rally."All black money isn't in cash and all cash isn't in black money and only six percent of the black money in India is in the form of paper money. The rest 94 percent is in the form of real estate, gold and in foreign banks," he added.Just like what he has been saying in his previous speeches, the Congress leader had nothing new to add while criticising the prime minister over his various policies, as reported by Firstpost earlier. With inputs from agencies
