BJP slams Shinde's directive to CMs, calls it unconstitutional

BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy criticised Sushilkumar Shinde's directive to chief ministers — which said innocent Muslim youths should not be arrested in the name of terror — saying it was unconstitutional."Has our Home Minister forgotten the oath that he took where he promised to protect citizens from all religions? AFP[/caption]Rudy said it would have been better if Shinde had said 'innocent Indian youths' instead of 'innocent Muslim youths'."I think Shinde has forgotten the Constitution," Rudy said.In a letter to Chief Ministers, Shinde said the Central government has been receiving various representations on alleged harassment of innocent Muslim youth by law enforcement agencies.“Some of the minority youth have started feeling that they are deliberately targeted and deprived their basis rights,” he wrote.With agency inputs
