A visually challenged man tries to cross a road in Bandra. He prods his stick on the road to determine if there's any car coming his way, and in the meanwhile, a man driving a school van stops and helps him cross the road.A minute later another man in a bike stops on the side of the road and gets off to help the visually challenged man.[caption id="attachment_2199324" align="alignleft" width="380"]adapt Screeb grab from the video[/caption]These are clips from a video titled 'How Mumbai reacts to disability' which is a part of an NDTV show called 'What's Your Choice', which talks about the mistreatment of people with disabilities.A brief on their website reads, "It’s not easy – to put it mildly – to live in India if you’re one of the millions of persons with disabilities. In this show we carry out a series of social experiments – this time in the main metros of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru – to see if the ordinary Indian’s attitude is changing – Is India becoming more inclusive?"So how do the people of Mumbai fare? The man on the bike offers to drop the visually challenged man inspite of going in the opposite direction. When asked if he is wasting his time, he says, "what time waste? If I don't help a brother who will?"Soon after, a friendly man stops by and claims to have seen the visually challenged guy try to cross the road for a while. He chats happily with him, and then after dropping him across the road, looks up and prays for him.And finally, a school boy buzzing past in a cycle stops, calmly halts traffic (and the cars stop without saying a word or honking) and routes the visually challenged man across the road.Mumbai passes with flying colours, we'd say.Watch the video here:
