Himalayan Buddhist Culture School thanks its supporters for sharing the warmth

Tata Capital’s another half-story – Sharing the Warmth - the story of the Himalayan Buddhist Culture School was completed in less than 24 hours. Generous donations received from the supporters with heart-felt warmth will now ensure that each of these students can pursue their dreams successfully.Here is a quick recap of their half-story:Located in Batahar Bihal, a remote area around 230 kms away from Manali lies the Himalayan Buddhist School. Founded in 1997, this boarding school nurtures over 272 children. Because of its remote location, parents trek for almost four days to meet their children. Harsh winters make it very difficult for the students to study. All that they needed were ten heaters worth Rs. 16,000 to keep them warm so they could concentrate on their studies well.[caption id="attachment_129178" align="alignleft" width="380"] The Himalayan Buddhist Culture School was built to offer access to better education than what is available in Manali's government schools.[/caption]You can take a look at their photo-story here.
