Good news for gamers: Doom developer creates whole new level

Perhaps the best part is that this new level is completely free, reported BBC.The new level will be available for players via the file-sharing website Dropbox.Doom, released in 1993, had a staggering 10 million players in just two years after its release. The report also said that since the source code (the program used to power the game) was written in a human-readable computer language, Romero estimated that there are around 30 alternative versions of the game.Romero also said that the new level was a warm-up for an entire new project. "Whenever I start a new game, I usually warm up, so to speak, by creating levels in something I’m familiar with," Wired quoted him as saying.Doom was one of the games that was a very important milestone for computer gamimg, especially with respect to 3D graphics and gaming.
