The Big Bang Theory has set up a scholarship fund for students.[/caption]Now, giving another reason to people to love the show, The Big Bang Theory is funding a scholarship for real-life science students at a university.In an attempt to create real life Sheldons and Leonards, The Big Bang Theory Scholarship Endowment has already raised $4 million for the scholarship which will support 20 undergraduates majoring in science, technology, engineering and mathematics at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), according to LA Times.And all of the $4 million raised so far came from the show's co-creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre.Even though UCLA is a rival institution of Caltech, where the show is set, one of the stars of the show, Mayim Bialik - who plays the character Amy Farrah Fowler - earned a PhD in neuroscience in 2007, according to The Independent."We have all been given a gift with The Big Bang Theory, a show that’s not only based in the scientific community, but also enthusiastically supported by that same community - this is our opportunity to give back," The Independent quoted Lorre as saying.After all, "math, science, history, unraveling the mystery" is a line which should be taken seriously by everyone.
