Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is working on the menu (for the 32nd consecutive time!)

An elaborate menu for the night

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, who is overseeing the event’s menu for the 32nd consecutive year, said his team is preparing about 25,000 small dishes for the occasion.

Speaking at a preview event on Tuesday while cooking a tomahawk steak, the Austrian-born restaurateur explained that guests can choose from a wide variety of cuisines, including Japanese, Austrian, and premium steak options.

Joking about Hollywood’s obsession with staying slim and the growing popularity of weight-loss medications, Puck quipped that stars could enjoy their Miyazaki beef “with Ozempic instead of spinach” if they wished.

The scale of the event is enormous. Puck expects to serve 1,200 of his signature chicken pot pies, which alone will require about 50 pounds (22 kilograms) of black truffles.

The menu will also include 70 pounds of caviar, 1,000 servings of macaroni and cheese, and over 200 pounds of tomahawk steak. A newly added sushi station will feature five chefs preparing hand rolls and nigiri for guests.

What will the Hollywood be drinking?

Drinks will include champagne from Piper-Heidsieck, sake from Dassai, and wines from Domaine Clarence Dillon, along with themed cocktails made using Don Julio.

These drinks - such as “Best in Show,” “Golden Cut Margarita,” “Maestro Martini,” and “The Sequel” - are creations by Lorenzo Antinori, co-founder of Bar Leone, who has been invited specially for the event.

Ending the fare on a sweet note

Dessert will feature thousands of chocolate statuettes shaped like the famous award, allowing guests to take home a sweet version of the iconic trophy.

Chef Garry Larduinat says that these treats are so popular because winning a real Oscar is extremely rare, so having a chocolate version serves as a memorable keepsake from the night.
