Elon Musk birthday cake: Space-themed rocket and Moon base designs steal the show

The world's first trillionaire, Elon Musk, celebrated his 55th birthday with a party that stayed true to the theme that has defined much of his career: space exploration. Instead of a traditional birthday cake, the SpaceX founder was surprised with two elaborate creations inspired by rockets and the Moon, making the celebration an instant hit on social media.

The centrepiece of the celebration was a towering cake inspired by SpaceX's Starship rocket. Designed in metallic silver and black, the cake closely resembled the company's next-generation spacecraft resting on its launch pad.

In a creative twist, the birthday candles were placed around the base of the rocket rather than on top. As Musk leaned in to blow them out, the glowing flames created the illusion of the rocket's engines igniting for liftoff, making for one of the celebration's most memorable moments.

The venue was decorated with colourful balloons, shimmering gold streamers and a bright "Happy Birthday" banner, adding a festive touch to the space-themed event.

The Moon base cake showcased impressive craftsmanship

The dessert table also displayed LEGO-style space models, turning the entire setup into a miniature space mission exhibit.
