Women commission not to pursue Zohra case

New Delhi: The Delhi Commission of Women, whose intervention Zohal Hamid had sought against IPL team Royal Challengers Director Siddharth Mallya for his tweet, has decided not to pursue the case.[caption id="attachment_316662" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Luke Pomersbach. AFP"][/caption] "No complaint has been registered. Since an advocate has already issued summons to Mallya, the matter is now in court. So we cannot pursue the case. It is now sub-judice," Barkha Singh, chairperson of Commission told Firstpost. The decision, added Singh, had been communicated to Hamid. However, Hamid refused to comment on the women’s commission decision when Firstpost spoke to her at the hospital where her fiance Sahil Peerzada was released late afternoon today. Hamid, a US citizen, has filed a complaint against IPL player Luke Pomersbach for allegedly molesting in her hotel room in the early hours of Friday (18 May). Mallya had questioned in his tweet her molestation charge that was directed at one his team players. Hamid had submitted a complaint to Singh on Saturday in which she had sought an apology from Mallya.
