Woman gang-raped in moving car in Noida, dumped near Delhi's Akshardham temple
A woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving vehicle in Noida's Sector 39, according to media reports on Saturday.


Representational image. Reuters[/caption]The woman was forcibly pulled into a Scorpio car near the Golf Course metro station and raped in the moving car, reported DNA. "The occupants of the car asked for directions towards a particular location. As she was responding to their query, the men pulled her into the vehicle and drove away," an official told PTI.The police have registered a case and the woman has been sent for a medical examination."An FIR has been lodged and the victim has been sent for medical examination," ASP Abhinandan said.CNN-News18 channel reported the police are relying on CCTV footage for further clues. The Delhi Police could be involved since she was dumped near New Delhi's Akshardham temple. The woman earlier had said she was taken into a black car but later retracted her statement saying she was not sure if it was black or not.The incident again bring to the fore the vulnerability of women in the National Capital Region (NCR).In another incident, a nurse was allegedly looted and gang-raped in Ghaziabad's Sihani Gate area. Police are currently conducting an investigation into the same, said ANI.With inputs from PTI
