Woman allegedly hacked to death by her husband over a dispute

Jamshedpur: A 25 year-old woman was hacked to death allegedly by her husband following a dispute in Baliguma, about 10 km from here, on National Highway 33, the police said.[caption id="attachment_2600922" align="alignleft" width="380"] Representational image. Reuters[/caption]A police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body from her house under MGM police station limits, officer-in-charge of the police station, Anuj Kumar said.The victim, Chinta Devi was living with her husband, Nandu Prajapati, in her elder sister's house.The couple had a dispute over some issue this morning when the victim's elder sister tried to pacify, but the couple did not open the door, Kumar said.The sister later on found Chinta Devi in a pool of blood while her husband was found at large, he said.In a fit of rage, Nandu picked up a sickle and hacked his wife, he said. Kumar said a hunt was launched to apprehend Nandu, who was absconding.PTI
