Vinod Mehta to give up editorship at Outlook

Krishna Prasad, currently editor of Outlook, will take on the role of editor-in-chief. Mehta has been editor-in-chief of Outlook since the launch of the magazine in October 1995.

Vinod Mehta, will be relinquishing the role as editor-in-chief of Outlook, Firstpost understands from a source in their organisation. Krishna Prasad, currently editor of Outlook, will take on the role of editor-in-chief. Mehta has been editor-in-chief of Outlook since the launch of the magazine in October 1995.However, it is understood that Mehta would continue to play an advisory role in the magazine and will remain a director on the board of Outlook Publishing.Firstpost spoke to Mr. Mehta’s office on the telephone repeatedly for a confirmation, but he was unavailable.In January, Maheshwari Peri, publisher of Outlook, had resigned, with Indranil Roy stepping into his shoes. It was then stated that Peri would continue till March 2012, after which he would take on a consulting role.Firstpost had spoken at length with 'the most sacked editor', Mehta, on Media and the role of television in journalism.
