Mumbai: Two persons, including an elderly man, were today injured after a tree fell on the passenger taxi, in which they were travelling in Parel, a senior civic official said.
Manohar Kuchrakar (75) and Vidyavasani Mishra (52), were travelling in a taxi when the tree fell on the vehicle in Boiwada area at around 10.30 am, an official of disaster control room of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai said.They were rushed to a hospital and later discharged, he said.A former Doordarshan anchor, Kanchan Nath (58), who was taking a morning walk near a road close to her housing society here, had yesterday died after a coconut tree fell on her.
