Two people killed, three others injured in firecracker factory explosion in Kanpur's Sarsaul town

Two persons were killed and three others were injured in an explosion in an illegal firecracker factory in Sarsaul town of Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district, reports said.According to ANI, a rescue operation is going on, while the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team was called to control the situation.Fire and emergency services were rushed to the spot to help those trapped under the debris, The New Indian Express reported.Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) personnel were also sent to rule out any terror activity, the report added.The incident, which took place around 1 pm, has damaged several residential and commercial structures in the area, The Times of India reported.After the incident, residents informed police control room following which senior district and police officials rushed to the spot, the report said.
