Tsunami warning scaled down, India still on alert

The Center cancelled warnings for Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore.

Reuters"][/caption]The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has now reduced the geographical expanse of the earlier tsunami warning and have kept the countries of Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives and United Kingdom under alert.The Indian cities that are under tsunami warning are: Great Nicobar, Little Andaman, North Andaman, Port Blair, Chennai, Trivandrum, Kakinada, Mangalore, Mumbai and Gulf of Kutch. This watch is in response to the latest major aftershock of 8.3 magnitude. Tsunami danger are still seen to parts of Indonesia’s Northern Sumatra coast. The Center cancelled warnings for Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore.
