Red alert in Vaishno Devi as army uniforms recovered abandoned

Security has been tightened in and around the Vaishno Devi Shrine and Katra town but so for nothing substantial has been found

Jammu : Security has been put on high alert in and around Katra town, the base camp of the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, in the Reasi district after two army uniforms were recovered from under a bridge.[caption id="attachment_2829276" align="alignleft" width="380"]Vaishno devi A file photo of Mata Vaishno devi Shrine. Reuters[/caption]During a routine patrolling, two army uniforms and shoes were last evening found abandoned under the bridge in the Jammu district's Jhajjar Kotli area near Katra, a police officer said on Saturday.He said security has been tightened in and around Katra town but so for nothing substantial has been found and the situation was normal in the town."We have kept the security on the high alert in the entire Katra town, although nothing substantial has been found but frisking of vehicles coming to the town are being done on every check post," the officer said.He said the police is looking on all the angles as how the army uniform was abandoned in the area.
