Punjab: Minor Dalit girl raped; accused absconding
A 13-year-old Dalit girl has been allegedly raped by a man at Dhariwal Thind village, police said on Friday. The accused had also threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anybody, police said.

PTI[/caption]The victim's mother in a complaint lodged with the police said her minor daughter was kidnapped by one Vicky on May 12 from outside her school.He then took her to his maternal aunt's house in Batala and raped her, the complaint said.The accused had also threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anybody, police said.A rape case has been registered against the accused, police said, adding that he was absconding.
