Nanny defends French diplomat accused of sexual abuse

The nanny employed with French diplomat Pascal Mazurier, who has been accused of sexually abusing his daughter, has jumped to his defence, saying he is not the type of person who would abuse his own daughter.The police has filed a charge sheet in a Bangalore court against the French consulate official on charges of raping his four-year-old daughter . Mazurier was charged under section 376 (2F) of the penal code which pertains to the rape of a girl under 12 yrs of age.[caption id="attachment_470538" align="alignleft" width="380"] Pascal Mazurier.[/caption]A report by Bangalore Mirror quoted the nanny, identified  only as Geetha, as reportedly saying in her statement to the police that her employer was not guilty of rape.In the report she has been quoted as saying:

Pascal used to love his children a lot. On 13 June, when Pascal took her to a bedroom, there was no sound of her crying. She is such a girl that she cries a lot even when touched lightly; if anything wrong had happened, definitely she would have cried. After Pascal went to his office that afternoon, the child didn’t tell me anything about any kind of pain and I also didn’t say anything like this to Suja.

Mazurier, deputy Head of Chancery in the Consulate of France, was arrested on 19 June on a complaint by his wife Suja Jones Mazurier, alleging that he had raped their four-year-old daughter. The issue led to a public outrage before the diplomat was arrested.The diplomat has sought bail on a number of occasions, citing discrepancies in the collecting of evidence in the case, but these have all been denied so far.Mazurier, in his petition, had pointed out that as per the report of the test conducted by the Forensic Sciences Laboratory (Bangalore), his DNA profile did not match with that of the child. He has also accused his wife Suja Jones of framing him.
