Namdhari booked for Ponty's brother Hardeep's murder

A Crime Branch investigation has allegedly revealed that Sukhdev Singh Namdhari killed Hardeep Chadha in cold blood and has been booked for his murder.

Former Uttarakhand Minorities Commission chairman Sukhdev Singh Namdhari has been booked for the murder of Hardeep Chadha, after a crime branch investigation concluded that he had killed him in cold blood. Namdhari has also been sent to three days police custody.Investigations have revealed that Namdhari instigated liquor baron Ponty Chadha and his brother Hardeep into a deadly fight that resulted in a bloody shootout on 17 November, that killed both siblings.[caption id="attachment_540094" align="alignleft" width="380"] PTI[/caption]Crime Branch police said that Namdhari had also tampered with the weapon that he used to shoot Hardeep.Namdhari's lawyer has, however, denied all allegations. He said that Namdhari was being blamed on the testimony of a co-accused, which has no value in the eyes of law.The lawyer said that the Crime Branch has tampered with the weapon and not Namdhari.Namdhari, who was first arrested for trespassing, was a key witness in the case. But he was arrested after incriminating evidence was found against him.A concrete picture of who shot who will be clear after the crucial ballistic reports arrive.
