Namdhari booked for Ponty's brother Hardeep's murder

Former Uttarakhand Minorities Commission chairman Sukhdev Singh Namdhari has been booked for the murder of Hardeep Chadha, after a crime branch investigation concluded that he had killed him in cold blood. Namdhari has also been sent to three days police custody.Investigations have revealed that Namdhari instigated liquor baron Ponty Chadha and his brother Hardeep into a deadly fight that resulted in a bloody shootout on 17 November, that killed both siblings.[caption id="attachment_540094" align="alignleft" width="380"] PTI[/caption]Crime Branch police said that Namdhari had also tampered with the weapon that he used to shoot Hardeep.Namdhari's lawyer has, however, denied all allegations. He said that Namdhari was being blamed on the testimony of a co-accused, which has no value in the eyes of law.The lawyer said that the Crime Branch has tampered with the weapon and not Namdhari.Namdhari, who was first arrested for trespassing, was a key witness in the case.
