Several people were feared trapped under debris when a five-storey building collapsed on Friday morning in South Mumbai.The collapse occurred around 6 am.[caption id="attachment_113670" align="alignleft" width="380"]
Representational image.[/caption]The building, owned by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, is located near the eastern side of the Dockyard Road station.At least three injured people were rushed to the nearby JJ Hospital. Many more are believed to be trapped under the debris.Friday's incident is the latest in a series of building collapses in the financial capital.On April 4 this year, the seven-storey Lucky Compound building collapsed in Shil Phata, Mumbra, in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, killing 76 persons.On June 10, the five-storey Altaf Manzil building collapsed in Mahim, in Central Mumbai, killing ten people.
