Kochi: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, will review the progress of the Kochi Metro Rail project on Wednesday at Thiruvananthapuram.[caption id="attachment_1671203" align="alignleft" width="380"]
Representational image.[/caption]The meeting is expected to finalise certain key issues, including those relating to land acquisition, for ensuring timely completion of the project, a press release said.Certain key issues relating to land need to be settled early, particularly at the Apollo Tyres location at Kalamassery, Aluva Municipality land and buildings as well as land requirements at the JLN Stadium premises. The meeting is also expected to take a view regarding the early promulgation of the Kerala Land Acquisition Rules.The development of Vyttila-Petta Road and other City Development projects, including the second phase of the preparatory works proposed by the Kochi Metro Rail project like improvement of the Thammanam-Pullepady Road and few other road development works would also be included in the discussions.Apart from Chandy, Minister for Power and Railways Aryadan Mohammed, Finance Minister KM Mani, Revenue Minister Adoor Prakash, Public Works Minister Ibrahim Kunju, are among those likely to participate.PTI
