Kerala to introduce e-ticketing in movie halls

With a view to promoting e-governance in all sectors, the Kerala government has decided to introduce e-ticketing in cinema houses in the state.

Thiruvananthapuram: With a view to promoting e-governance in all sectors, the Kerala government has decided to introduce e-ticketing in cinema houses in the state.Necessary laws to introduce e-ticketing in cinema houses would be brought in through an ordinance, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told reporters after a cabinet meeting today.[caption id="attachment_518027" align="alignleft" width="380"] Oomen Chandy. PTI[/caption]Earlier, Chandy while inaugurating a file tracking system of the secretariat titled "Information and Data Exchange Advanced System' (IDEAS) said government wanted to strengthen e-governnancegovernance in the state.Introduction of IDEAS was a major step in this regard, he said.With the new system, people could track through the state government website, the petitions submitted by them to ministers and Chief Minister, position of different files in various departments and also could access government orders on different matters.PTI
