Jammu and Kashmir floods: State govt temporarily bans transfers and postings
Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered a complete ban on transfers and postings in the state till further orders.

AFP[/caption]All the transfers ordered with effect from 1 September, 2014, by the different departments, except the General Administration Department and those related to the posting of officers and officials in the new administrative units by other departments, have now been kept in abeyance, an official spokesman said.It has also been ordered that all transfers and adjustments and attachments made by the school education department since 1 September, 2014, are hereby rescinded, he said.Such transferees, etc shall immediately report back to their original place of posting, the spokesman said, adding that any transfer necessary for dealing with the extraordinary situation arising out of the foods shall be made only after the prior approval of General Administration Department.All the departments shall submit a compliance report on the above to the General Administration Department within a week’s time, he added.PTI
