An eight-year-old girl, studying in class IV, was allegedly raped by her 14-year-old classmate in Masuri town, police said today.

Ghaziabad: An eight-year-old girl, studying in class IV, was allegedly raped by her 14-year-old classmate in Masuri town, police said today. The girl, who was staying with her paternal aunt after her mother passed away, was lured by her classmate on 29 August to a nearby field where he raped her, they said.After returning home, she complained of stomach-ache to her aunt who took her to a nearby clinic where the whole matter came to light. A police complaint was registered only after villagers staged a protest outside the Masuri police station.[caption id="attachment_1672233" align="alignleft" width="380"]Representational image. Medical examination of the accused will be carried out to determine his exact age once he is caught, he said.PTI
