Fire breaks out in New Delhi's Lok Nayak Bhawan; 26 fire tenders rush to spot

A massive fire broke out in a building in Lok Nayak Bhawan near the upscale Khan Market in New Delhi on Monday afternoon, reported ANI. Twenty-six fire tenders rushed to the spot and ten more have been requested for, reported CNN News18."A call was received around 4 pm. Around 26 fire tenders have been pressed into service," an official from the Delhi Fire Services told PTI. No casualties have been reported so far.NDTV reported that the fire started from the fourth floor of a government building in Lok Nayak Bhawan. The report also stated that the cause of the fire was a shock circuit in an AC. According to Times of India, the fire then spread due to the wooden partitioning in the room.Located on Tughlaq Road, the Bhawan houses offices of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax department.With inputs from PTI
