Don crippled? Dawood Ibrahim may be suffering from crippling form of gangrene

Even as underworld don Dawood Ibrahim remains a point of acrimony between India and Pakistan, media reports are now saying that he is now suffering from a crippling form of gangrene.CNN-News18 has reported that the gangster's condition of gangrene is at such an advanced stage that doctors may have no option but to amputate his legs. However, no successor has been named as of yet.The don is said to be undergoing treatment at the Liaquat National Hospital and Combined Military Hospital at Karachi, and his health is reported to be deteriorating by the day, as per a report by India Today.Loss of effective blood supply caused the gangrene, leading to body tissues dying, reports said. Dawood Ibrahim is a wanted criminal in India for allegedly masterminding the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, in which 257 people died.In August last year, a Hindustan Times had cited fresh evidence in the form of a telephone bill and a passport to support India's claim that Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan.The bill mentioned D-13, Block 4, Karachi Development Authority, Sch 5, Clifton, as the address, and was issued by the Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited. The passport had a recent image of Dawood, which shows him now to be clean shaven and with a receding hairline.
