Delhi: Stabbed 35 times, teen girl brutally killed for resisting molestation
A 19-year-old girl was allegedly stabbed to death by two youth in New Delhi in the Anand Parbat area, police said on Friday.


Representational image. AFP[/caption]The girl was allegedly stabbed 35 times by the attackers, according to IBNLive. "That girl ran from them and landed in my gallery. They entered and stabbed her here too. She was unconscious by then. They used to irritate her a lot," IBNLive quoted a witness as saying."The neighbours there did not help her. She could've been saved if they helped her. She entered a neighbour's house as she was getting beaten. The neighbours whose house she entered, threw her out of their house, saying that they did not want to get involved in the matter. That is why they (the accused) got to assault her and they ran away after that," the report quoted the victim's sister as saying.The girl's mother was also injured while trying to save her, the police said. Both were taken to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where the girl died from her injuries.Police said that both the attackers have been arrested, charged with murder. Investigation is now underway.The report added that the victim was being eve-teased by the attackers. In 2013, the girl had filed a molestation complaint against the attackers.NDTV reported that the teenage girl's family alleged that she was killed by Jaiprakash, his brother and their mother because she had registered the complaint against the brothers.(With inputs from IANS)
