Delhi gangrape: Victim scores 73 percent in final exam

One of her professors said that she was probably one of the top three students in the class.

In a cruel twist of fate, the results of the final exam written by the 23-year-old physiotherapy student, who was brutally gangraped and assaulted in Delhi in December, have revealed that she scored around 72 percent and might have been in the top three students in her course.“I have not seen the results of all my students but I guess she must be among the top three in this course at the institute,” one of her professors told Indian Express.[caption id="attachment_600324" align="alignleft" width="380"]PTI PTI[/caption]The director of the college and other teachers also said that the woman's scores were excellent. She scored 800 out of 1100.A Times of India report quoted the victim's father as saying, "The result is good. But the happiness that should be there is overshadowed by our sadness. I can only hope that my two other children are inspired by this to take the same path."The institute in Dehradun where she studied has reportedly decided to refund the fees of the girl to her parents as well after the management of the institute took the decision.The victim, who was severely beaten, raped for almost an hour and thrown out of a moving bus in New Delhi on 16 December, was airlifted to Singapore on 26 December for specialist treatment, where she died on 29 December.
