The spiritual head of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, passed away here Friday following a cardiac arrest, an official said.

Mumbai: The spiritual head of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, passed away here Friday following a cardiac arrest, an official said, as reported by IANS.He was 102 years old. AFP[/caption]As soon as the news spread, thousands of grieving Dawoodi Bohra community members rushed to Saifee Mahal.As per a Mid-day report, the Bohra Community has announced a 10 day mourning period and shops run by Bohras will remain closed for three days, as a mark of respect.
