'Congress devoid of agenda, identifying as bad losers once again': Piyush Goyal on Cong's EVM allegations

As reports of Congress workers demanding ban on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) emerged after the party suffered a routing in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, BJP leader and Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday said that it is unfortunate that "Congress is so devoid of agenda and is identifying as bad losers once again".Speaking to ANI news agency, Goyal said, "It is unfortunate that Congress is so devoid of agenda and is identifying as bad losers once again... India's political and election system is famous across the world but it seems Congress doesn't want India to move forward. It (Cong's EVM allegation) is just a matter of joke among the public."According to an India Today report, slogans such as 'EVM Ban Karo' and placards demanding the banning of the EVMs were seen inside the Congress headquarters. In one of the videos, members of the Rahul-Priyanka Gandhi Sena members were seen holding banners seeking a ban on the voting machines, added the report.Goyal said that people of four states that went to the polls have given their blessings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi."If you look at it closely, this is not an ordinary win. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP received a historic lead. In Rajasthan, all trends were left behind and BJP won with an absolute majority. We were written off in Chhattisgarh but we BJP registered a fabulous victory there...In Telangana, BJP won just one seat last time. But going from there to double digits makes it clear that the faith of people in PM Modi is increasing day after day...," said the Union Minister.According to News 18, as of 2 pm, BJP is leading on 158 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 115 in Rajasthan and 55 in Chhattisgarh.
