Come, be the changemaker at the ‘Global Natural Resources Conclave’

“The nation behaves well if it treats the natural resources as assets which it must turn over to the next generation increased, and not impaired, in value.” – Theodore RooseveltThese words of wisdom spoken by the former American President clearly highlight the importance of natural resources in determining the basis of any country’s economic development.Historically, natural resources played the role of the main driver of the economic development of nations. From early civilizations to the Industrial revolution, natural resources have drastically changed the face of the world economy. With the global economy changing, India’s role in leveraging its natural resources to harness the economic growth will be something to look forward to.
In its endeavor to create awareness and discuss some basic ground realities, in terms of issues and opportunities concerning India’s natural resources, Network 18 and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will be organizing the ‘Global Natural Resources Conclave’ in New Delhi. This first-of-its-kind media initiative will witness global influencers, domain experts, top policy leaders and several industry stalwarts deliberating upon the importance of making natural resources the ‘new fuel for the India growth story.’Proactive collaborations and partnerships with some of the world’s leading and respected organisations will set the stage for an impressive dialogue on building a strong base for an optimal and yet efficient use of our natural resources in the near future. The conference will be a step closer to establishing India as a formidable global leader in the natural resources segment. In a sense, it will pave the way for an effective exchange of ideas between leaders on topics spanning across various sub-sectors like natural gas, oil, mining, minerals and important metals like zinc, copper and aluminum etc.Leading the session will be the country leaders, field specialists and global think tanks active in the space. These include The Energy and Resources Institute, World Economic Forum, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, International Council on Mining and Metals, Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry, among others. The two-day Conclave will also build scale and gravitas through collaboration with Canada that will share ‘Country Perspective’ at the Conclave. For more information click here. This is a partnered post.
