Class 11 student beheaded in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur; arrested accused had been stalking girl for years

A female Class XI student was hacked to death in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur on Thursday, said media reports. The assailant had attacked the girl with a sword outside her school.According to The Times of India, the attacker had been stalking the victim, Pooja Panika for years.Panika was going to school around 12.30 pm when the accused ran up to her and attacked her.The only eyewitness in the incident is a retired teacher who sounded the alarm. Soon after the incident, the police also arrested the suspect — Dilip Sahu — from his residence on the basis of statements given by Panika’s family.The fact that the incident happened in broad daylight has shaken up the area which has resulted in the Superintendent of Police monitoring the probe, reported ABP News.
