Cabinet approves India-Bahrain pact to combat international terrorism, crime

New Delhi: The cabinet on Wednesday approved an agreement between India and Bahrain on cooperation in combating international terrorism and other organised crime.[caption id="attachment_2572982" align="alignleft" width="380"]Representational image. Firstpost[/caption]It also gave approval to cooperation between two countries in combating transnational organised crime and trafficking in illicit drugs, narcotic and psychotropic substances and precursors chemicals.A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) shall come into force from the date of exchange of the instruments of ratification."It will help establish a framework for enhancing cooperation between the officials of intelligence and law-enforcement agencies of the two countries," an official statement said.IANS
