Bodh Gaya blasts: Bihar sets up special court to investigate

A special court has been set up here to hear the case of serial bombings at the Mahabodhi temple in Bihar, a police officer said Tuesday.[caption id="attachment_959051" align="alignleft" width="380"] A police officer investigates one of the blast sites: AP[/caption]The court has been established in the Patna civil court, said an official who is assisting the National Investigation Agency's probe into the 7 July terror attack.The move comes after 10 bombs exploded at the 1,500-year-old temple complex.Police later recovered and defused three small gas cylinder bombs, weighing two-three kg. Two Buddhist monks were injured in the blasts. But no major damage was reported.The Mahabodhi temple - a Unesco World Heritage site - is where the Buddha, who was born in neighbouring Nepal, attained enlightenment around 2,550 years ago.IANS
