Battered and abandoned baby Falak died on Thursday, after two-month long battle with life, at the AIIMS Trauma centre in Delhi. The baby breathed her last at 9:40 pm, according to the doctors treating her.She was brought to the hospital on 18 January with severe head injury, both her arms broken, bite marks all over her body and her cheeks branded with hot iron. The teenage girl, who brought her there claiming to be her mother, had cited a fall from the bed as the reason for the child’s pathetic state.[caption id="attachment_245962" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Ibnlive.com"][/caption]She was on ventilator for the last two months. Various combinations of antibiotic to control the infection were tried by doctors, which had shown results and the baby was put off ventilator on 2 March.Ironically, Baby Falak was named India's 'miracle baby' as despite being severely injured she survived and was recovering well.
