Angry commuters block trains in Titwala, up and down trains affected

Angry commuters blocked trains on Titwala-Khadwali route, Mumbai, on Wednesday morning for more than two hours after train services were delayed due to a technical glitch, reports said.According to visuals shared by ANI on Twitter, commuters took to the tracks and blocked movement of all trains through Titwala staging a train roko protest. According to the images, one could see protesters at the platforms as well as on the tracks.While the exact cause for the glitch is not known, Central Railway appealed to passengers to board trains so that the train services could resume. According to Central Railway, the ongoing protests have only affected the Kalyan-Kasara route, and the train services on Karjàt-Kalyan-CST section are running.Central Railway later announced on its Twitter page that train services on Kalyan-Kasara section resumed from 8.55 am on Wednesday. Trains on central railways were delayed by nearly half an hour.
